Daycare - 7:30am-5:30pm $20
Busy days happen, whether it is a doctor appointment or work, sometimes you just can't be home with your pet all day. Doggie daycare is an excellent way to make sure your pet is never bored at home, alone. After passing a temperament test, any dog, 14 weeks of age or older, can participate in our doggie daycare. We separate our daycare groups according to size (small group/medium group/large group) and if we need to accommodate older pets we can separate the groups by age (puppy play group/water play group/older group no high energy group). Our daycare groups spend the majority of the day playing in an indoor and outdoor area. Each of our four play areas has about 2,500 square feet of play space indoors and outdoors. Dogs have access outside through a doggie door, and if your pet has never used a doggie door, no worries, we'll teach them while they're here. Nap time is a from 11:30-1:30 so that your dogs can get a chance to rest from playing all morning and lunch is available for dogs whose parents provide it. By the time parents arrive to pick-up their dogs from doggie daycare, they’ll find their dog tired, hungry and ready for bed. This is a dream come true for an equally tired pet owner! Benefits of Doggie Daycare include: Socialization with other dogs and people Hyperactive dogs get a chance to play out their energy Dogs learn appropriate social behaviors Fun activities like play gyms, pool time, bubbles, ball pits, fetch, and toys Vaccinations: All dogs participating in doggie daycare are required to be up to date on their Rabies, Distemper Parvo, and Bordetella Vaccines. Vaccines must be given at least 72 hours prior to daycare. A current copy of vaccines must be provided upon drop- off. We do not accept vaccines from feed and seed stores. All new dogs will have to do a temperament test before allowed to play in daycare. A temperament test will last a few hours. We have an adjustment period for the new dog and then we will proceed with the testing. If our new friend passes we will continue to let them play until the owners pick up. If they do not pass, we will inform the owner. |
Temperament Testing - Only Required for Daycare Group Play Not Boarding Stays Temperament Test Fee $22 This is a one time charge for your pet to be evaluated by our staff. To decide whether or not your dog is a candidate for doggie daycare, they must pass a temperament test before playing (this can be done same day that you bring your pet in for daycare, it takes a few hours and you can leave them for the day). Doggie Daycare is a unique environment that many dogs have yet to experience it. Because dogs are allowed to interact with other dogs in the playgroups it is important to closely screen the dogs before they are allowed to play. It is also important that the staff build a relationship with each dog, ensuring that they make the best, most fun and the safest groups possible. Our staff are not dog trainers and your dog must be comfortable around other dogs before coming to play at our daycare. So how does it work? When you first arrive we will review your dog's vaccine records. Incomplete records will prevent your dog from being able to stay, so be sure to have all of the required vaccines up to date and the appropriate paperwork from your veterinarian. While you are present, our staff will greet your dog in the lobby for a pre- test. This ensures us that your dog will be comfortable with us after you leave. New dogs need to stay with us for a minimum of 4 hours for their temperament test. They may stay the entire day and play. After the pre-test you can leave your dog with us to conduct the rest of their test. We will take your dog into the kennel area and allow him or her to roam around by themselves, inside and outside, so that they get comfortable with their surroundings. Once we see that they are comfortable and relaxed, we will introduce another dog that has already passed their temperament test. If your dog shows zero signs of aggression or dominant behavior, we will continue to introduce one dog at a time until the entire group is introduced. |
